Welcome to Potomac Speech and Language Therapy, LLC, a speech and language private practice servicing the greater Northern Virginia area. We provide private pay in-home and teletherapy services that are dedicated to meeting client's individual needs. Potomac Speech and Language Therapy services a wide range of disorders such as speech sound production, expressive and receptive language, cognitive communication disorders, aphasia, and adult swallowing disorders. We work closely with families and caregivers to help facilitate speech and language development and promote communication.
Meet the Owner: Erin received both her Bachelor’s degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders and her Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from James Madison University in Harrisonburg, VA. She holds a Speech Pathology license in the state of Virginia, as well as a Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
Erin has experience working with pediatric and adult clients in Virginia schools, private outpatient clinics, home health, and skilled nursing hospitals. Her experience includes servicing diverse populations in the areas of: preschool to school-age students, parkinson's disease, dementia, stroke, TBI, dysphagia/swallowing disorders, aphasia, cognitive-communication impairments, expressive and receptive language disorders, articulation and phonological disorders, developmental disabilities, and fluency disorders. She believes in a client and family-centered practice, focused on empowering individuals to find and use their voice in confidence. Erin embraces a relationship-based model, celebrates neurodiversity, and utilizes individualized and evidence-based practices during speech-language therapy.
In her free time, Erin enjoys exploring the DMV, cooking, traveling, and spending time with her family, husband and their dog, Bailey.
